What we collect
We may collect the following information from runners who sign up for our races:
Name and contact information, including email address, mailing address, and phone number
Demographic information such as age, gender, and race distance preference
Emergency contact information
Information about your race performance, such as your finishing time and overall ranking
What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to properly time and score races, and in addition to the following reasons:
Posting of results on our website and various other results websites.
Sharing results with local media for post-race publicity.
Internal record keeping.
Sending your race results to you during and after the event or to contact you about issues with your results.
We may share your contact information with emergency medical personnel in case of an emergency during the race.
How we store and protect your information
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
We store your personal information in our secure databases for an unlimited amount of time for archival reasons in case we need to regenerate results at a later date.
Sharing of personal information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to provide race-related services as described above.
We do not use or share your personal information for any marketing purposes relating to other races or services.
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise these rights, please contact us.
